Overview
BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound-157) is a synthetic pentadecapeptide — fifteen amino acids, sequence Gly-Glu-Pro-Pro-Pro-Gly-Lys-Pro-Ala-Asp-Asp-Ala-Gly-Leu-Val — originally identified as a fragment of a protective protein in gastric juice. It is one of the most widely studied research peptides in preclinical literature and is supplied here as a lyophilised powder for laboratory use.
Research background
The preclinical literature on BPC-157 is dominated by rodent models from the Sikirić group (University of Zagreb) spanning the 1990s to the present. Reported areas of investigation include gastrointestinal mucosa, tendon and ligament fibroblast behaviour in vitro, angiogenesis markers such as VEGFR2 and nitric-oxide pathway signalling. Findings are almost entirely from animal and cell models; there is no completed human clinical programme. Researchers evaluating BPC-157 should note that the compound is stable in gastric-juice conditions in published assays, which is unusual for a peptide of this length.

Certificate of analysis
Every lot is tested by an independent US laboratory. The certificate for the lot you receive is linked in the product details above and carries the same lot number as the vial label. New to reading one? How to read a peptide certificate of analysis.
Handling and storage
Store the lyophilised powder at −20 °C, sealed and protected from light, and bring the vial to room temperature before opening. After reconstitution keep the solution at 2–8 °C in the dark. See how to reconstitute a lyophilised peptide (with calculator) and peptide storage and shelf life.
Frequently asked questions
Is this product tested by an independent laboratory?
Yes. Each lot is analysed by a third-party US laboratory for identity and purity. The certificate for the lot you receive is linked on this page and its lot number matches the vial.
What is the difference between HPLC purity and peptide content?
HPLC purity is the share of peptide-like material that is BPC-157; peptide content is the share of the vial’s total mass that is peptide, after water and counterions. Both are explained in our guide to reading a certificate of analysis.
How should the lyophilised powder be stored?
At −20 °C, sealed and protected from light. Allow the vial to reach room temperature before opening to prevent condensation on the cake.
What diluent is appropriate for reconstitution in the laboratory?
Bacteriostatic water for multi-withdrawal preparations, or sterile water for single use. See the reconstitution guide and calculator for the arithmetic.
Can this product be used in humans or animals?
No. BPC-157 from Quantum Peptides is supplied strictly for in-vitro and preclinical laboratory research.
Research use only. All products are supplied for in-vitro and preclinical laboratory research only. Not for human or veterinary use, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. Purchaser must be 21+ and accept the Research Use Acknowledgement.
